Effective November 1, 2023, the base rate will increase from $44.00 to $45.50. The new rates will be a  Base Rate of $45.50 per month, PLUS $5.00 per 1,000 gallons of water used. For example, the average household uses appx 3,000 gallons of water per month, and this would result in a charge of $ 60.50..

  This 2023 increase is due to an increase in fees from Farmdale Water District for performing monthly billing services for the Farmdale Sanitation District. This is a direct pass through expense - Farmdale Sanitation will not be making any money from this, but we cannot absorb this additional cost and maintain our current maintenance schedule.

   Your sewer fee will appear on your water bill from Farmdale Water. However, Farmdale Water is a separate entity - for questions concerning sewer issues, you should contact Farmdale Sanitation.

  We will issue partial refunds of sewer charges due to leaks in your water lines where the excess water does not enter the sewer system. Forms are available at the Farmdale Water office.

  Tap-on fees for new construction is $500, which covers the cost of connecting your lateral line into the sewer system. Property owners are responsible for all costs in bringing their new lateral line to the right of way.
